Your Privacy Matters
We built VillageFor because we've lived through the postpartum gap ourselves. We know how personal this season is, and we take protecting your information seriously.
Here's what you need to know about how we handle your data.
What we collect
When you use VillageFor, you may share things like your name, email, parenting stage, and how you're feeling day to day. You might also share journal reflections or responses to our check-in tools.
We also collect basic technical data automatically, like your device type and how you use the app, so we can keep improving the experience.
What we don't do: We don't sell your personal information. Ever.
How we use it
We use your information to personalize your VillageFor experience, keep your account secure, respond to your questions, and make the app better over time.
We may use anonymized, combined data (nothing that identifies you) to understand trends in maternal mental health, improve our tools, and share insights in research or educational contexts.
Who we share it with
We only share your information in limited situations: with trusted service providers who help us run the app (under strict confidentiality agreements), when required by law, or if VillageFor is ever acquired or merged with another company.
We do not share your personal or health-related information for advertising.
How we protect it
We use encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. We follow data protection practices aligned with healthcare standards.
No system is 100% secure, but protecting your information is something we think about every day.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, update, or delete your data. Just reach out to us at hello@villagefor.com and we'll take care of it.
A note on mental health information
VillageFor is not a medical provider. The app is designed to support, educate, and connect you, not to replace your doctor, therapist, or midwife. If you're going through something hard, please reach out to a professional.
If you're in crisis, help is available right now:
Maternal Mental Health Hotline: Call or text 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262), free and confidential support before, during, and after pregnancy.
If you've been having thoughts about disappearing or feeling like your family might be better off without you, please know you're not alone and support is available. Consider reaching out to someone you trust, or contact the free, confidential support below anytime:
National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (free and confidential; available 24/7): Call or text 988
If you're in immediate danger, call 911.
